ITF Radix Seminar in Poland! Sign up for an amazing event!

Hello,

In just over a month, Sabum Roy Rolstad, co-creator of the ITF Radix Project, will be coming to Poland. The goal of the project is to explore the roots of the techniques used in Taekwon-Do patterns and to uncover their alternative or original applications.

I have personally participated in ITF Radix seminars and presentations multiple times, and each time Sabum Roy unveiled the vast possibilities hidden within the frequently practiced movements from patterns.

This will be the first time that ITF Radix will be presented in Poland at an open seminar (previous presentations took place during TKDMeetUp workshops).

I am convinced that anyone practicing Taekwon-Do and eager to delve into the depth of this martial art will be thrilled by the material presented by Roy.

Below is an opinion from Sabum Sławomir Listkiewicz, VI DAN, who has been exploring traditional techniques of our martial art for many years:

"So far, I have had two opportunities to engage with the concept of ITF Radix during trainings led by Roy. Perhaps this isn't enough to form a definitive opinion on the subject. Nevertheless, what I saw intrigued, inspired, and encouraged me to continue my own exploration of various possibilities for applying the techniques we learn in patterns to hand-to-hand combat. In reality, a block can be used as an attack, and a hand strike or kick can serve an entirely different purpose. Here, there are no orthodox rules—the goal is effectiveness. This approach closely resembles what I encountered when I began my Taekwon-Do journey nearly 30 years ago.

Observing Roy, his methodology, approach, and clarity of communication left a strong impression on me. At the same time, I felt a kind of euphoria knowing there are people who have gone much further down this path than I have, creating an opportunity for me to learn something new. It was also a valuable chance to compare what I’ve discovered so far with what Roy presented.

This seminar promises to be very interesting and content-rich. For those who haven’t yet thought of Taekwon-Do in this way, it will surely be a revelation. For those already on this path, they will find plenty of inspiring solutions and concepts to further develop or directly incorporate into their training or coaching process.

I think it’s worth being there 🥋."
